Lake Brownwood State Park will host their third annual “Holiday at the Lake” event this Saturday, December 20th.  The public is invited to attend this special event.

Visitors can bring camping gear and decorations for a competition for the best decorated campsite. Judging will take place at 6:00 p.m., and at 7:00 p.m. the winner will be announced at the Group Dining Hall.  The camping fee for Saturday night will be waived for the winner.

A ranger talk will begin immediately after the winner of the decorating contest is announced.  There will also be cookie decorating, hot chocolate, and a visit from Santa.

Normal park entry fees apply:  $4/person, kids 13 and under are free.  Call the park office at (325) 784-5223 for applicable fees and reservation.  Photos contributed.
