LiveOakPharmacyThe pharmacist and owner of Live Oak Pharmacy on Austin Avenue, arrived to find that his business had been burglarized Monday morning.  According to the Brownwood police report, the owner called police to report the burglary at approximately 8:50 a.m. stating that the crime had occurred sometime since 5:30 p.m. Friday, December 12 while the pharmacy was closed for the weekend.  Several medications were noted to have been taken, the report states.

Entry to the building was made through the drive through window, which was broken with glass lying just inside the building, the report states.  Estimated cost to replace the window is $5,000, according to the report.

Several medication bottles were noted to be tipped over and a few of the pharmacy baskets were also missing, leading police to believe the thief used the baskets to carry the medications out of the pharmacy, according to police.  Medications taken included hydrocodone/acetaminophen, ibuprophen/hydrocodone, methylphenidate, hydrochloride, and alprazolam, the report states.

No arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning.  Anyone with information related to this crime is asked to call the Brownwood Police Department at 325-646-2525.
