KohlerToysForKidsDonation2014On behalf of Kohler Brownwood and their Associates, Mitzi Dahlberg, Human Resources Generalist, presented a $1,000 donation to Wanda Martin, Founder Toys for Kids, to help with their shopping this year.  Kohler has been a long-time supporter of Toys for Kids through donations, volunteers to wrap gifts, and Associate Toy Drives.

Dahlberg is also partnering with Toys for Kids for a Kohler Toy Drive.  This year instead of a nominal cost for tickets to the annual Kohler Kids Christmas event, Associates will be donating a new-unwrapped toy for admission.

Those who wish to donate to the local Toys for Kids may drop off new toys at Grand Starz, 2323 Belle Plain in Brownwood, Brownwood Fire Stations, Early Police Department or call (325) 646-6822 and arrange for pick-up.

Checks or money orders can be mailed to Toys for Kids; P.O. Box 912; Brownwood, TX 76804.

Toys for Kids is a 501-3c charitable organization that offers families assistance giving kids, who would not otherwise get any toys, a little brighter Christmas.   Families who provide Christmas to their children with gifts of necessities such as clothing and shoes often rely on this program for extra gifts such as toys.

Registration for this year’s program will be held Mondays & Tuesdays 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and on Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Grand Starz, located at 2323 Belle Plain in Brownwood.  Families needing assistance should bring their child’s social security cards along with the parent’s photo identification.

The deadline to register for assistance from the Toys for Kids program is December 12, 2014.  Distribution of toys will be on Saturday, December 20, 2014.
