RickerJohn Ricker, 93, of Lake Brownwood took his finale journey home on November 29, 2014. John was born October 09, 1921 in Dallas, Texas. His parents were John L. and Lula Ricker.

John served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a man of many talents, but his passion was serving as an EMT and Volunteer Firefighter in many locations over many years. He was a man that gave his life and service to the community. He was a Faithful Christian and a member of the Lake Brownwood First United Methodist Church. He was a devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents.

John is survived by his devoted wife Jo Ann Taylor Ricker “Mommajo”; Son Bruce Franke and wife Stacey of San Angelo; Daughter Brigette Schroeder and husband Ross of Christoval; Son Todd Franke and wife Shaunna of Brownwood; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren; Brother and sister-in-law JB and Laverne Taylor of Brownwood and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Rocky Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Heartland Funeral Home of Early. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Corine T. Smith Animal Shelter or the EMS Alliance of Brownwood.
