Brown County emergency responders were called to the scene of a two vehicle accident Friday afternoon on north Hwy 279 just past Day’s Hill outside of Brownwood.

The accident occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. as the Chevrolet Camaro was traveling behind a small passenger car in the northbound lane.  According to the driver of the Camaro, she had looked over at a semi-truck which was broken down parked on the side of the roadway, when she rear-ended the small passenger car which was stopped to turn left off of the highway.

All five occupants of the two vehicles were reported to be uninjured; however, the three occupants of the Camaro were transported by a privately owned vehicle to the hospital to be evaluated as a precaution.

Witnesses at the scene stated that the small passenger vehicle was for sale and being test driven at the time of the accident.

Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Tyler Moses was investigating the crash.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Brownwood Fire Department and Allegiance EMS responded to the scene of the accident.

Pictured above and below are the damaged vehicles and the accident scene.
