Below are the fishing reports for area lakes, compiled as reported this week by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Lake Brownwood

Water clear; 65–69 degrees; 12.92′ low. Black bass are fair on June bug worms, buzzbaits, and watermelon red soft plastic worms over brush piles in 8–15 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies and crankbaits off lighted docks at night. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are fair on shrimp and nightcrawlers over baited holes in 12–15 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water clear; 67–71 degrees; 19.17′ low. Black bass are good on chartreuse crankbaits and watermelon red soft plastic worms. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are fair on live minnows and blue tube jigs over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 46–51 degrees; 42.53′ low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, chatterbaits, jigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs shallow.

Lake Proctor

Water murky; 67–71 degrees; 12.62′ low. Black bass are good on black and purple soft plastic worms. Striped bass are good on silver/blue Rat–L–Traps. White bass are good on cut shad. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are good on live bait.
