Law Enforcement Blotter 11/14

LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Friday, November 14, 2014.

Thursday, November 13

*9:59 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1000 block of Fisk Street regarding theft.  According to the report, several tools were placed on hold pending further investigation.

*10:00 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of N. Fisk Street regarding a scam.  According to the report, the complainant advised that a known subject was sending suspicious packages which they believed contained fraudulent documents, using a business account of an out of state company.  The complainant believed the company was unaware of the transactions.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*5:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding a criminal trespass.  According to the report, it was determined that a female subject, identified as 21-year-old Krystal Hampton of Brownwood, had committed criminal trespass.  Hampton was arrested at the store for the offense.

*10:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce, the Silver Fox Lounge, regarding the theft of a cell phone.

*10:38 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputies received information that a  vehicle stolen out of Mills County would possibly be at a residence on Belfast Drive.  The report states that the deputy located the vehicle at the address and spoke to a resident, asking if the suspect 20-year-old Stetson Walls of Brownwood was inside.  According to the report, Walls was inside and after being read his Miranda rights, spoke with the deputy about the vehicle, how he had taken the Dodge Pickup, which was parked with its keys in it, from a residence in Mullin without the owner’s permission.  Walls stated that he was planning on returning it, the report states.  Due to Walls admitting that he took the vehicle without the owner’s consent, and after confirming that the vehicle was stolen, Walls was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Dustin Jared Evans of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*Brown County sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Jose Luis Martinez of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault family violence by strangulation impede breath previous conviction.  Martinez is being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.

Friday, November 14

*Early Police arrested 18-year-old Adrian Finley of San Antonio for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
