Early Elementary L.I.F.T. (Learning Involvement For Tomorrow, Early ISD’s G/T Program) students recently went on a field trip to visit Grooms Feed.  The third grade students have been busy learning about pioneers while the fourth and fifth grade students are learning about processed foods.  David Grooms spoke with the group about seed germination, seed cleaning, and how seeds relate to processed foods.

Pictured at top:  David Grooms showing the students a seed that has germinated and is growing in a wheat field.  He explains the process and what will happen to the wheat.

Pictured below are the Early Elementary L.I.F.T. students being weighed on the scales at the end of the field trip.   Pictured are:  (Front row) Korbin Barr, Jubilee Bass, Grace Luedke, Jaci Bleth, Cason Pannell, Ryan Hill, Jakob Hataway, Mya Johnson, Tre Beam, Mikaela Johnson, (back row) Liam Swain, Calvin Clubb, Preslee Richmond, Cooper Jacobs, Michael Morales, Tucker Hale, Vic Cooper, Cooper Neel, Jamie Crisp, Kate Yantis, Carson Hill, Will Prochaska, and Asher Callaway.
