A win over Snyder and a large donation to the BISD Pink Out fund was the perfect end to the Brownwood Pink Out Day on Friday, October 31st.  The day had been filled with pink to raise awareness and to honor those who have been affected by breast cancer, and ended with a generous donation from Big Country Ford to the BISD Pink Out fund.

Big Country Ford once again donated to $5000 in the form of an oversized check to Brownwood ISD Deputy Superintendent Kevin Gabaree.  Big Country Ford Owner, Diane Winn, accompanied by General Manager, Thomas Scull, and Kurt Newton, a sales representative, delivered the check prior to the kick-off.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Brownwood ISD supports the cause each year by designating a “Pink Out” day. A custom-made t-shirt is designed by the district each year and sold as a part of the fundraising effort.  Faculty, staff, and students throughout the district, in addition to many community members wear pink throughout the day and at the football game to increase awareness and raise money for local families fighting cancer.
