ToysForKidsLogoBrown County Toys for Kids registration for this year’s program will be held Mondays and Tuesdays in November from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. beginning Monday, November 3rd at Grand Starz, located at 2323 Belle Plain in Brownwood.

Registration sign up times will continue through December on Mondays & Tuesdays 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and on Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.   The deadline to register for assistance from the Toys for Kids program is December 12, 2014.  Distribution of toys will be on Saturday, December 20, 2014.

Toys for Kids offers families assistance giving their kids, who would not otherwise get any toys, a little brighter Christmas.   Families who provide Christmas to their children with gifts of necessities such as clothing and shoes often rely on this program for extra gifts such as toys.

Families needing assistance should bring their child’s social security cards and the parent’s photo identification.

Toys for Kids is currently seeking donations of toys and/or monetary gifts to help with this year’s program.  Donations can be delivered to Grand Stars (2323 Belle Plain) or mailed to Toys for Kids, P.O. Box 912, Brownwood, Texas 76804.  Other drop-off locations include Brownwood Fire Stations 1 & 2.  All proceeds benefit Brown County residents and 100% of donations received go toward the purchase of toys.  The entire season is worked by volunteers and program directors of Toys for Kids who work diligently without receiving any income for their service.

There is no number of toys per child predetermined each year, the amount given out per child always depends on the number of donations received, according to the program’s founder Wanda Martin.

For more information about the program or to volunteer, please call 325-646-6822.
