Early ISD hosted the Region 7 West Zone UIL Marching Band Contest at Early Longhorn Stadium on Saturday with hundreds of high school musicians participating. Several local schools will be advancing to Area competition as a result of their hard work and dedication.

Local high school marching bands including Brownwood, Early and Bangs received Division I ratings.  This year, class 4A and 6A bands receiving Division I ratings will advance to the UIL Area Marching Contest to be held in Leander on October 25th.  Marching times will be released in the coming week.

Saturday’s contest consisted of 24 competing marching bands.  Judges for the contest were Pat Autry, Jim Bode, and Mike Lunney.  The event was hosted by the Early ISD, Early Band Boosters, and the Early Longhorn Band.
