LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, October 15, 2014.

Friday, October 10

*11:48 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Slayden Street, Brownwood High School, regarding suspicious circumstances.  According to the report, an investigation determined that a juvenile was in possession of alcohol and issued a citation for minor in possession.  Additionally, the student was placed into the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) for forty five days as school discipline.

Monday, October 13

*3:30 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding identity theft.  According to the report, no arrests have been made; however, the investigation is still pending.

*3:50 AM – Brownwood Police were responded to the 1000 block of Riverside Drive regarding disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, October 14

*9:54 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a property on County Road 135 regarding a report of a horse abandoned and left without food or water.

*10:16 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding theft.

*12:40 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to Giles Trade Lot regarding a report of hindering a secured creditor on a known suspect.

*2:23 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding someone attempting to cash a fraudulent check.  According to the report, the driver’s license was kept from the suspect, and it was later reported by the store that the same subject had cashed a check earlier in the day.  Charges are pending, the report states.

*3:25 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Care Assisted Living Facility regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a family member had entered her residence without her consent and took some of her property.

*11:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Beaver Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she and her common law spouse had been involved in a physical altercation.  The officer did not observe any marks to either subject during the investigation, the report states.

*Howard Payne University Department of Public Safety arrested 47-year-old David Ottwell of Brownwood for failure to identify.

Wednesday, October 15

*12:10 AM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 1600 block of Avenue I.  The male, identified as 38-year-old Brian Lee Jones of Brownwood, was found to be in possession of several different types of medication which he did not have a prescription for as well as a small amount of marijuana, the report states.  Jones was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, two counts penalty of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Gavin Tab Jackson for motion to adjudicate/burglary of a building.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Priscilla Ann Salinas on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office 32-year-old Charles Dewayne Spivey on a warrant related to failure to appear/driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.  Spivey was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond.
