LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, October 7, 2014.

Thursday, October 2

*Brownwood Police were called to a hit and run in the 400 block of W. Commerce, Walmart.  According to the report, a Dodge pickup had been struck in the parking lot of the store.

Monday, October 6

*11:20 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, a deputy spoke with a female victim who stated that she had allowed a former friend to borrow her truck and that he would not give it back.  The incident is being investigated.

*9:33 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Brady Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, officers investigated an incident of graffiti and damage to an electrical box.

*11:06 PM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 1000 block of Avenue I.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 22-year-old Caleb Keith Pittman of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*12:09 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a hit and run accident.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of a horse.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had hired a known male subject to “work the kinks” out of a 13-year-old gelding he owned.  The complainant stated that the male had allegedly sold the horse to another man from Abilene, the report states.  When the complainant called the man from Abilene, he was told that the horse “had problems and was sold for slaughter,” according to the report.  The horse was valued at $1,000, the report states.

Tuesday, October 7

*12:43 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Thunderbird Drive regarding a burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between 6:30 p.m. on October 4th and 12:15 a.m. on this date, his residence was broken into and several items stolen.  The items included a 0.45 caliber pistol, a blue-ray player, and a go cart, valued at approximately $650, the report states.  Possible suspects were named, according to the report.

*2:01 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on Alpine Court regarding domestic disturbance.  According to the report, an assault had occurred which resulted in the arrest of 34-year-old Kimberly Lynette Harris of Brownwood on charges of assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Ricky Lynn Deaver of May on a Comanche County warrant related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
