Brownwood Fire Department – Fire & Rescue Reports 10/1

BFDlogoSmallReports released for the period of September 22-28, 2014 from the Brownwood Fire Department include 13 medical emergencies, 3 fire calls, and 2 motor vehicle accidents.

Reports of interest that the Brownwood Fire Department responded to include:

Monday, September 22

*9:54 AM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2400 of Ave B.  Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.

Tuesday, September 23

*2:11 PM – BFD were dispatched to a fire call in the 8600 block of County Road 225.  Fire crews were responding to an alarm for a structure fire which was fully involved.  Firefighters arrived on scene with Brookesmith Volunteer Fire Department.  The home was a total loss.  Overhaul was performed and the Brownwood Fire Marshal arrived to investigate.

Thursday, September 25

*9:37 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 600 block of 6th Street.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a man stating that his neighbors were burning something.  After investigating, nothing was found.

Friday, September 26

*3:39 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 300 block of Cedar Street for an alarm activation.  Nothing was showing upon firefighters’ arrival. Firefighters investigated and found nothing.  The fire system was reset.
