ArtAssociationLogoThe Brownwood Art Association will present its First Thursday event featuring artist and photographer Robert Priddy on October 2nd at the Art Center (2158 Fisk Street) in Brownwood.

Priddy released the following artist statement:

“After a long hiatus I picked up an old love – photography. The digital camera has made it possible to have a darkroom without the smell.  My photography is predominately centered on landscapes and other natural details around me. I also have an interest in capturing some of the places and things I grew up with, although most have already met ‘progress.’ My photography has led me to recently pick up another childhood pastime, drawing. My wish is that as you view my art, you will pause and feel what I felt when it was created.”

First Thursday includes a reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a chance for local residents to meet the featured artist and network with BAA members.  Artists and exhibits on display are from both BAA members and guest artists.
