BattleOfTheBadgesSBGame2014Brownwood Fire Department and Brownwood Police Department will be playing a charity softball game, “The Battle of the Badges,” on Saturday, September 27th at the Bert Massey Sports Complex.  All proceeds from the game will benefit the Snell family.

On July 7th, Oliver Snell, a Brownwood dispatcher’s son was born with a heart defect and had open heart surgery on August 11th.  Brownwood emergency personnel organized the softball game to help the family with expenses encountered through his hospitalization and surgery.

A silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m.  The game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. and a raffle drawing will be held at 9:00 p.m.  Organizers will raffle an Icehole Cooler donated by Kirby & Charlie Cabler.

Businesses/individuals that would like to help by donating silent auction items or make a donation, please call Bryan Harvey at 325-642-7505 for pick up.

Mark your calendar for September 27th for a fun event and a great cause.
