The Brownwood Reunion Celebration came to a close Sunday afternoon after 3 days of food, music, competitions, and activities – including the Classic Car Show hosted by local car club the Heartland Cruisers.

The group asked attendees who visited the show in the Brownwood Coliseum over the weekend to vote for their favorite vehicle.  Those votes determined the winner of this year’s awards of fan favorites and Best of Show.  Organizers said that over 4000 ballots were cast.

This year’s Best of Show in the car/truck category went to Lanny Kellar of Brownwood for his 1965 blue Cobra.  He was given a plaque and $200.

Other fan favorite awards in the car/truck category in order of votes included Russell Farrow for his 2014 Corvette, Keith Neil  for his 1956 Corvette, Dave Helmick for his 1959 Chevy Pickup, David Goble for his 1956 T-Bird, Jerry Mobley of Dallas for his 1966 Corvette and Charlie Bishop of Abilene for his 1964 GTO.

This year’s Best of Show in the motorcycle category went to Shane McClain of Brownwood for his 1993 Harley Davidson Fat Boy.   Fan Favorite awards included Gaylon Bruton for his 2002 Iron Horse and Larry Rose of Comanche for his 1963 Cushman.
