Registration Deadline Extended for 2014 Brownwood Reunion Run/Walk

Organizers of this Saturday’s Brownwood Reunion 5K/10K run and walk have extended the time to register for event through this Thursday at noon.

The 14th Annual Brownwood Reunion Celebration 5K/10K run and walk will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 and registration is now underway.  This year’s registration is only available online at CelebrateBrownwood.com. 

“The weather forecast promises cooler weather great for a run or walk.  Hope to see you there,” encourages Reunion Run volunteer Lisa Dick.

The race begins at the Lehnis Railroad Museum, located at 700 E. Adams Brownwood, at 7:30 a.m. this Saturday, beginning with the 10K, immediately followed by 5K runners and then walkers.  Entry is $25 per runner.

The routes wind through historic Downtown Brownwood. It begins and ends at the Lehnis Railroad Museum and goes by the Depot District, old Coca-Cola Building, Howard Payne Campus, Lyric Theatre, Brown County Court House & the Guinness Book of World Record’s smallest block in the world.

5K/10K awards include Overall Male and Female Runners, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for male and female in each age division and trophies for 1st place teams. Parking for the event is available on South Washington (behind Lehnis Railroad Museum). High School Cross Country teams please contact organizers by clicking here.

This year’s Brownwood Reunion Celebration will be held September 19, 20 and 21 in Downtown Brownwood.  The community-wide festival features a variety of contests, events, attractions, music, and food in addition to the main concerts which will feature Pat Green and Restless Heart.
