Early Pioneer Days Festival Promotes Education

EarlyPioneerDays2014LogoThe Early Chamber of Commerce announced that they will award a $500 scholarship to an Early High School senior in correlation with the upcoming Early Pioneer Days Festival.  In order to be eligible for the scholarship, students must write a 1200-1500 word essay using the following theme:  “My Texas Heritage.”

The winner will attend the Early Chamber of Commerce Banquet on October 14th and read his/her essay.  The deadline for submitting an essay is October 3, 2014 to the High School Counselor, Mrs. Bearden.

The Early Pioneer Days Festival will be held at the Early Chamber of Commerce on October 18th.  This festival is a full day of fun for the family with food, vendors, a blacksmith, and live music all day.  There will also be a 5K “Run or Dye” run, photo opportunities, and performers including Lone Star Lead and Lace, and KR Wood and Camp Cookieville.
