Brownwood Police and Heart of Texas Crimestoppers ask the public to help solve a recent aggravated robbery in Brownwood and released the following information.

On July 15th, 2014, at about 10:46 pm, an unknown male subject entered an unlocked backdoor of Dairy Queen, located at 1620 Austin Avenue.  Once inside the male suspect went to the back office where an employee was and brandished a large kitchen type knife.  The male suspect then left with an undisclosed amount of money the same way he entered.

It is believed he ran in a northeasterly direction from Dairy Queen along a wooden fence, and exited the Dairy Queen parking lot through an opening in the fence at the northeast corner.  The suspect then continued across the alley in an easterly direction through another opening in another fence.  Just inside that opening is a scrap pile of bricks, and it is believed the suspect fell dropping a portion of the money taken.  Some of the money was recovered on the pile of bricks along with the gloves worn during the robbery.

The male suspect was described as about 5’8” tall with a skinny build.  He had on dark pants (black or navy blue) and a black hoodie with the hood pulled up over his head.  He also had some type of dark material covering his face and wore tennis shoes with yellow on the toe area.  The suspect has dark skin according to the witness; and he may have been injured when he possibly fell in the pile of bricks.
