Brownwood High School’s Mighty Maroon Marching Band was introduced Thursday night at Meet the Band.

Band Director David Lambert introduced drum majors and band members to the crowd.  Those in attendance were treated to a performance of the school song, fight song and many popular favorites heard during football games.

Band Boosters provided a hot dog supper and had t-shirts available to support the band.  Funds raised help provide new instruments, repair and maintenance of instruments and much more.  This year funds raised through concession stands operated by band members, parents and boosters will help offset fuel costs for the band’s trip to a workshop, “You’re Instrumental,” at Walt Disney World in Florida during Spring Break.

The band will perform the first part of their competition marching piece during halftime at the Lions’ football game against Gatesville Friday night at Gordon Wood Stadium.
