The Cross Country Coaches Association of Texas recently released their 2014 Pre-Season Polls with several local teams making the top ten rankings.

Zephyr’s girls ranked #1 in the 1A division while San Saba was #1 in 2A.

Zephyr boys were 5th in the poll for 1A and Goldthwaite ranked 6th in 2A.

Brownwood girls were named 10th in 4A while May boys and Priddy girls received 10th rank in Division 1A.

These teams will compete at meets during the regular season working to earn a chance at the top honor of the year, racing in the state meet November 8th at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas.

Brownwood will host their first meet of the season at the Brownwood Middle School on Friday August 22nd.  This year’s district championship meet will also be held in Brownwood on Wednesday, October 22nd.  For a full schedule of Brownwood High School Cross Country, click here.
