Bobby Ray Boggess

Bobby Ray Boggess, age 81, of Santa Anna, passed away Thursday evening at the Abilene Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm Saturday, August 2, in the Pavilion of Santa Anna Cemetery with Rev. Benny M. Allcorn officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Allcorn Funeral & Cremation Care of Coleman.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 – 2 PM at the funeral home.

He was born May 21, 1933 in Albany, Texas the son of the late Raymond and Vina Boggess.  He worked in the oil fields most of his life and had lived in Santa Anna for the past several years.  His greatest love was his family and spending time with them.

He is survived by 4 daughters – Teresa Ivie and husband Ron of Abilene, Melissa Boggess  of Abilene, Venessa Winkles and husband Scott of Odessa, and Contessa Geirish and husband Randy of Cotulla; 2 brothers – Jacky Boggess and wife Peggy of Abilene, Eddie Boggess and wife Liz of Breckenridge; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Campbell, A brother, Jimmy Boggess, and 2 Grandchildren,

Whitney Wilson and Bobby D. Boggess.
