Thursday, July 24

*8:35 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding the theft of a mechanized wheel chair.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the wheel chair that belonged to his wife had been charging in the hallway of the motel when the bottom of it where the battery and charger are located was stolen.

*1:31 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Belle Plain Street regarding theft.  According to the report, an AT&T boom box and an iPad had been stolen from the complainant’s residence.

*3:11 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of Peach Street regarding animal cruelty.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her dog was hung by the neck until it died.  The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 23rd, the report states.

*Brownwood Police arrested 45-year-old Michael Andrew Penn of Brownwood on surety withdrawals related to driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 56-year-old Carey Lavan Reese of Brownwood on a warrant related to a parole violation.

Friday, July 25

*10:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Avenue B regarding the theft of medication.  According to the report, two suspects were identified and the complainant wished to pursue criminal charges.

*29-year-old Josiah Andrew Huggins of Brownwood was arrested on a surety withdrawal related to possession of a dangerous drug/Williamson County.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
