Weekly Fishing Report for Area Lakes

fishingBelow are the fishing reports for area lakes, compiled as reported this week by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 82–86 degrees; 11.61′ low. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Blue catfish to 5 pounds are good on cheesebait in 5–10 feet. Yellow catfish to 25 pounds are good on trotlines baited with perch and goldfish in 3–10 feet.

Lake Coleman

Water clear; 79–83 degrees; 17.13′ low. Black bass are good on chartreuse spinnerbaits and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 76–84 degrees; 38.34′ low. Black bass are good on Zell Pops early and late, Senkos, Texas rigs, jigs and shallow or medium running shad pattern crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs shallow.

Lake Proctor

Water murky; 81–85 degrees; 10.69′ low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on live shad and pet spoons. White bass are good on shad. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines and juglines baited with cut shad. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait.
