Gilbert Sellers II

SellerGilbertIIA graveside service for Gilbert Sellers II, 48, of Brownwood, will be held at 10 am on Friday, July 25, at Zephyr Cemetery with Pastor Brian Hall officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home.

Claudie Gilbert Sellers II was born on August 25, 1965, to Claudie Gilbert Sellers Sr. and Cleta Ann (Carter) Sellers in Bell County Texas. He served in the National Guard for many years and had worked as a carpenter in the Brown County area. Gilbert was always known to have a big smile and very big heart, and had volunteered almost daily at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen. He had lived in Brownwood and Zephyr for most of his life and was loved by those around him.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Sellers; sons, Charles Avery and Michael Harper; his step-mother, Nelda Sellers; brothers, David Sellers and wife Nancy, Willie Carter and Robby Worthy; sister, Mary Carter Maldonado and two grandchildren, Kelsey Avery and Charles Avery Jr. He is also survived by two nephews, David Lynn Sellers and Kevin Worthy; his niece Kandice Worthy and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Sellers Sr., and his biological mother, Cleta Ann (Carter) Sellers.
