Brownwood Community Concert Association Announces 2014-2015 Concert Series

Brownwood Community Concert Association (BCCA) released their 2014-2015 concert line-up recently with a variety of musicians offering quality entertainment.  All concerts begin at 7:00 p.m.  at the Victory Life Church Auditorium, located at 901 C. C. Woodson Road in Brownwood.

Annual memberships are available for individuals and families to enjoy the concerts with the following packages:  Families: $120 (parents & children 18 & younger living at home).  Individuals: Adults – $55, Senior (60+) – $50, or Student (ages 6-21) $30.

Tickets are also available through contributions in the following levels: Platinum: $1200 or more = 8 tickets,  Gold: $600 – 1199.99 = 6 tickets,  Silver: $300 – 599.99 = 4 tickets, and Bronze: $150 – $299.99 = 2 tickets

The new season will feature the following performances:

Texas Gypsies
(pictured at top) are a 5-piece group is a collection of well seasoned players comprised of Grammy winners and musicians who have backed many of today’s top performers including:  The Jacksons, Paul McCartney, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Texas Playboys, Wynton Marsalis, Tony Bennett, Barbara Mandrell, Blues Brothers and many more.  They are known for their unique take on Classic Jazz and Swing, Gypsy Jazz (Django), Western Swing (Bob Wills), New Orleans, Classic Rock, Pop and the band performs many of their own original songs as well.

Dr. Ian Yeung. They are an advanced performance-based ensemble that gives high-quality concerts in regional, national, and international tours.

Bronn Journey
will bring their harp and music of every variety.  Bronn and Katherine play what they term, “not your usual harp music.”  They are highly trained, classically educated musicians.  Bronn holds a degree in Harp Performance from the University of Washington in Seattle.  Katherine holds an undergraduate degree in Music Education from Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA and a Masters degree in Vocal Performance from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.

Craig Toungate In the Shadows of Giants, tells the story of the Texas Revolution from the fall of the Alamo to the Battle of San Jacinto with original songs, narration based on eyewitness accounts and documents with video and humor.  While you may never have heard of Craig Toungate, chances are you have heard his voice singing in national commercials for Nissan, Southwest Airlines, Applebee’s and others.   Craig has been a featured singer on 31 recordings released by Disney since 1997, singing everything from character voices to Rock n’ Roll, including a rap song as the Big Bad Wolf, and a duet with Mickey Mouse.
