4:45 PM Update: Brownwood Police Department released the following information regarding the Tuesday night robbery of Dairy Queen in Brownwood:

On Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to 1620 Austin Ave, Dairy Queen, regarding a report of a robbery.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the restaurant manager who informed them that an unknown suspect, displaying a knife, entered the business and demanded money.  The money was provided and the suspect left the scene without further incident.

The investigation is ongoing and information is still being followed up on.

Original Story: Brownwood Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred Tuesday night at Dairy Queen in Brownwood.

According to the police report, the incident was reported at approximately 10:50 PM.  Officers spoke with employees and the victim who stated that an unknown subject had robbed him at knifepoint.

Details of the robbery and suspect information were not released as of Wednesday morning.

According to Assistant Chief of Police James Fuller, further information regarding the incident will be released Wednesday afternoon as police continue their investigation.
