Brownwood’s Texas Teenage Baseball (TTAB) 10U Phillies team were crowned district champions this week and are bound for the State Championships.

The tournament will be held in Emory, Texas beginning July 21. The Phillies earned their spot in the state tournament by completing an undefeated district tournament bracket on Thursday.

To help raise money for their trip, the team will host a BBQ sandwich fundraiser beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 12th at Western Bank, located at 1110 Clements Street near Home Depot.  The fundraiser will last until they sell out, according to organizers.

Meals consisting of a BBQ sandwich, chips and drink will be offered for $8.  Deliveries are available for order of 8 or more sandwiches.  Call 325-200-2736 for delivery orders and pre-orders.
