TexasBank recently presented the Lyric Performing Arts Company with $80,000 total in donations.

TexasBank itself contributed $30,000, while the James and Dorothy Doss Foundation, representing some of the bank’s ownership, donated another $30,000.  In addition, the local board of directors and owners of TexasBank was presented with a challenge from President and CEO, Greg Dodds to make a supplementary gift to the restoration efforts. In response, $20,000 was given from board members, Paul Waldrop, Bill Blagg, Paul Underwood, and Greg Dodds.

“TexasBank and its board of directors are proud to help support the restoration of the historic Lyric Theatre,” said Dodds. “We are appreciative of those members of the community along with the Lyric Board who have given so generously with their time and their pocketbooks over the last decade to accomplish what at times seemed like an insurmountable task.  We look forward to having a first class performing arts center in Brownwood.”
