RollerDerbyGirlsBWThe Cowboy Capital Rollergirls will host Route 66 Roller Derby traveling from Amarillo, Texas on July 12th in an event with proceeds benefiting The Ark (the local domestic violence and sexual assault shelter).

This game will be bittersweet as it marks the last game as a Cowboy Capital Rollergirl for skaters Twisted Halo (Lisa McNeal) and Baby Gee (Brianna Nelson). They are both relocating to different towns.

“Halo is an amazing skater with a lot of heart. She will be missed. Make sure to keep an eye out for her with the San Angelo Soul Sisters.” says Bam (Breawna Ballard), CCR’s Co-Captain.

Baby Gee is a recent graduate of Tarleton State and will be moving away to pursue her career in Psychology. “It was so great to have Baby Gee join us this season. I know the track won’t be the same without her,” comments Little Tank LuLu (Edith Luna).

The Rollergirls open the Brownwood Coliseum doors at 6 p.m. and the whistle will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $14 for trackside seating and $12 general admission at the door. For more information visit [email protected].

The Cowboy Capital Rollergirls (CCR) is Central Texas’ premiere all-female, flat track roller derby league, members of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), and home to the Cowboy Capital Junior Roller Derby (CCJRD). CCR fosters athleticism, empowerment and sportsmanship among women, youth, and supporters, while benefiting local non-profit organizations through our charitable donations and service.
