McClainRobertRobert Shane McClain, age 43, of Blanket passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at his residence.

Robert was born on September 28, 1970 to Richard and Gail (Mansfield) McClain in Salisbury, Maryland.  He was a longtime resident and graduate of Blanket High School. He worked off and on for Superior Essex for many years.  Robert deeply loved his children, family, and all his friends; he told them that as often as he could even if it were by a Facebook post.

He is survived by his children, Jordan and Roston McClain of Lake Brownwood; his parents, Richard and Gail McClain of Blanket; sister, Michelle Lofton and husband Carey of Blanket.  Robert is also survived by numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Blanket Cemetery with Bro. Bill Slaymaker officiating. No visitation will be held. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions are made to a charity of one’s choice.  Online condolences for the family can be made at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
