MuleDeerThe Mule Deer Foundation, Brown County Texas Chapter, invites the public to attend their annual fundraising banquet on Saturday, August 2nd at the Grand Starz Hall, located at 2323 Belle Plain in Brownwood.

The public is invited to come to the banquet and to bring friends and family for a night of fun.   Tickets are available for $40 each (includes meal and annual membership) or $60 for couples (includes two meals and annual membership).  Meals consist of rib-eye steak, with all the fixin’s, and tea.  Ticket holders will enjoy an open bar, live auction, silent auction, raffles, and games.  Prizes/auction items include hunting trips, fishing trips, 20 guns, limited edition art work and more.  There will also be Mule Deer Association rifles, knifes and prints of the year.

Tickets for the banquet are available at KOXE, Weakley-Watson sporting goods, Sportsman Center, and Wendlee Broadcasting or call Russ at 325-642-1644.

Doors open at 6:00 PM and the dinner will be served at 7:30 PM.  Live auction begins after dinner.

All funds raised will be used for West Texas mule deer projects and Brown County 4-H shooting sports.

Mule deer are the only declining big game animal in the U.S. The Mule Deer Foundation is working hard to turn this around with projects such as, habitat restoration, highway crossings, fawn tracking and predator control projects.
