Below are the fishing reports for area lakes, compiled as reported this week by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 78–82 degrees; 10.70′ low. Black bass to 4 pounds are good on green pumpkin and redbug soft plastic worms in 8–15 feet. White bass are good on minnows and small jigs off lighted docks at night in 10–12 feet. Crappie are good on minnows and white or shad Li’l Fishies. Channel catfish to 9 pounds are good on cut shad over baited holes. Blue catfish to 14 pounds are good on cheesebait in 5–10 feet Yellow catfish to 35 pounds are good on trotlines baited with perch, shrimp, and goldfish in 5–15 feet.

Lake Coleman

Water clear; 74–78 degrees; 17.12′ low. Black bass are good on Rat–L–Traps, spinnerbaits, and soft plastic worms and lizards. Hybrid striper are good on live shad. Crappie are good on minnows at night. Channel catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 75–81 degrees; 37.45′ low. Black bass are good on Texas rigs, jigs and weightless flukes. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs shallow.

Lake Proctor

Water murky; 76–80 degrees; 9.44′ low. Black bass are good on crankbaits off points. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on live shad and jigging spoons. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.
