A private memorial service for Ruth Twomey, 63, of Brownwood will be held at a later date. She was cremated under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations.

Mrs. Twomey died on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at her home in Brownwood.

Ruth Irvagean Twomey was born on December 26, 1950, in Crane Texas to Irvin John Loggins and Ila Bean (Mobley) Loggins.  Throughout her life she had worked as a seamstress, a beautician and a homemaker.  On December 8, 1990, she and Wilburn Lester Twomey were married in the LDS Temple in Dallas. She had lived in Brownwood for the last five years, moving here from San Angelo.

She is survived by her husband, Wilburn Lester Twomey Jr. of Brownwood; her son, Mikah Newcomb of Mesquite; and two sisters, Kathy Newcomb of Mesquite and Deannie Newcomb of Breckenridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Ila Loggins, and a stepdaughter, Maggie Coin.
