Wild Duck Marina at Lake Brownwood will host a fireworks display on Saturday, July 5th to celebrate Independence Day.  At Tuesday afternoon’s meeting of the Brown County Water Improvement District, a permit for the event was approved by board members.

According to BCWID General Manager, Wild Duck Marina will host the professional fireworks display which will be performed either from a barge at or on the shore of Little Crappie Island, which is BCWID property requiring the permit.  Spinks stated that the show will be similar to the past years which have been held at the marina.  In years past, the marina has hosted live music along with the fireworks show.
