Law Enforcement Blotter 6/10

LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, June 10, 2014.

Monday, June 9

*10:13 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Brady Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, this call led to a criminal trespass warning being issued to a previous resident which was a female.

*10:52 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Avenue E regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the officer interviewed both the suspect and the complainant.  While speaking with the suspect, he informed the officer that he had pulled a knife on the complainant and the subject, identified as 65-year-old Roger Franklin of Brownwood, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence, the reports states.

*11:02 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 900 block of Coleman Street regarding theft.   According to the report, an unknown subject stole a tire and rim from off of the complainant’s vehicle.

*11:37 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown individual stole his gold teeth from his room.

*3:28 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 6th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated his wallet had been stolen out of his truck while at a local gas station.  The complainant advised that his credit card had been used at a local department store and that he wished to pursue charges, the report states.

*7:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Avenue C regarding theft.  According to the report, a tool was stolen out of the driveway of the complainant’s residence.

*9:10 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue, Coggin Park, regarding an assault.  According to the report, the suspect, identified as 17-year-old Leigheanna Rittiner of Brownwood, was placed under arrest for assault causes bodily injury.

*10:04 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the 2700 block of W. Main Blvd. regarding an assault that had just occurred.  According to the report, the complainant had slight swelling and bruising near his left eye.  According to the report, a suspect has been identified; however no arrest had been made and the victim wished to pursue charges.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft from a residence on Hwy 377 South in Brownwood.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a Case NRA Knife of the Year had been stolen from inside the residence and the only person who had been in that portion of the home unaccompanied was an employee of a pest control company.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 53-year-old Melinda Gay Belveal of Brownwood on warrants related to motion to revoke/delivery of a dangerous drug and motion to adjudicate/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.

Tuesday, June 10

*12:15 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of Rhodes Road regarding harassment.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
