AndersonWeldonWeldon Ray Anderson, age 72, a lifelong resident of Coleman, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at 2 PM in the Allcorn Funeral Care Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Anna Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6 – 8 PM.

Weldon “Shorty” Ray Anderson was born on April 1, 1942 in Coleman, Texas to the late Lee and Edna (Woodward) Anderson. Shorty loved his family and loved to watch westerns and listen to the radio. He also enjoyed working on cars in his spare time. He also attended the Central Baptist Church and was a farmer in the area.

Weldon “Shorty” Anderson is survived by:

One son, Kenneth Ray Anderson of San Angelo,

One step-daughter, Shanna Caleway, and husband Jody of San Angelo

One step-son, Shane Watkins of Ballinger,

Five sisters, Lorene Rutherford and husband, R.B. of Coleman; Louise Montgomery and husband, John of Coleman; Sharon Wells, and husband Ron of Cassidy, Kansas; LaNelle Morgan of Grapevine; and Donna Johnson and husband, Larry of Coleman,

Three grand-children, James Anderson, Janie Anderson, and Mackenzie Anderson,

And numerous nieces and nephews.
