Brownwood emergency responders were called to back-to-back accidents Monday afternoon which left one woman injured.

As emergency personnel worked a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries in the 500 block of W. Commerce, another accident involving three vehicles occurred on C.C. Woodson Road at the intersection with S. Broadway.

At approximately 4:15 p.m., a black four-door passenger car traveling north on S. Broadway, entered the roadway of C. C. Woodson, colliding with a silver Ford F-150 pickup which was traveling south in the outside lane of C. C. Woodson according to witnesses on scene.  The impact of the collision sent the Ford pickup into the inside southbound lane which was occupied by a maroon king cab Dodge pickup according to the driver of the Ford.  Both pickups were sent into the oncoming lanes of traffic.  All oncoming traffic was able to stop and avoid involvement in the accident, according to witnesses on scene.

The female driver of the Dodge pickup was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries, the extent of which was not released at the time of the accident.  Both male drivers of the other two vehicles were reported to be uninjured.

The male driver of the passenger car was issued a citation according to law enforcement.

Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
