William Kelcy

KelcyWilliamWilliam Kelcy, age 42, of Early went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 25, 2014 after a short illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Early First Baptist Church with Bro. Zephren Parker and Bro. Sam Morton officiating, interment will follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

William was born on January 22, 1972 to Wyman and Debbie (Champion) Kelcy in Brownwood, Texas. He graduated from Early High School in 1991. He has been a life-time resident of Early. He married Kimberly Morton in Gatesville, Texas on March 4, 2000. They have three beautiful daughters, who were his world. William loved the outdoors, guns, and long distance shooting. He loved teaching his girls about guns and how to shoot. For the last year he worked for Kirby Cabler General Contracting, which was a great honor to work with the Cabler’s. He was a member of Country Side Baptist Church. William loved and served the Lord, he wanted to make sure that everyone knew the Lord’s plan of salvation. William was at a great peace with the Lord during his illness.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of fourteen years, Kimberly Kelcy of Early; three daughters, Tenlee, Kaylee, and Bailee Kelcy of Early; father, Wyman Kelcy and wife Diana of Early; mother, Debbie Castner of Granbury; sister, Carrie Kelcy Burrows and husband Travis of Brownwood; grandmother, Buena Kelcy of Early; father and mother-in-law, Sam and DeNella Morton of Early; brother-in-law, Sam Morton and wife Stephanie of Early; sister-in-law, Jennifer Murry and husband Rodney of Jonesboro. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, W.O. Kelcy; and maternal grandparents.

Online condolences for the family are welcomed at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Kimberly Kelcy Benefit Fund at Bank of America. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
