Curtis Wayne Manning

ManningCurtis Wayne Manning, Sr., 73, of Brownwood, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014, at his home.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Monday, May 12, 2014, in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel, with Bill Slaymaker officiating.  Burial will follow in Cedar Point Cemetery.  Visitation has been scheduled for Sunday, May 11, 2014, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Curtis was born February 20, 1941, in Brown County, TX.  Curtis worked for Superior Cable for 40 years.  He was involved in youth sports, refereeing many football and baseball games over the years.  Curtis loved children and was an avid fisherman and golfer.

Mr. Manning was preceded in death by his parents, W.A. and Jinkie Joiner; 3 brothers, James Manning, Donald Manning, and Gary Joiner, and a great-grandchild, Tristan Ross.

Mr. Manning leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Dorothy Manning; his son, Curtis Wayne Manning, Jr. and wife Tammy; 2 daughters, Bridgette Begley and husband Bill and Pam Boykin and husband Frankie; his sister, Deanna Byers, 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren with another due in June, and numerous nieces and nephews.
