russellIrvin Hoy Russell, 73, is celebrating new life in heaven as of May 1, 2014. (Yay for Dad!)
Services will be Saturday May 10th at 2pm at the Heartland Funeral Home, Early, Texas.  Visitation will be Friday, May 9th from 7-9pm at the funeral home.

Irvin was born December 20, 1940 in Mandan, ND to William and Louise (Luikart) Russell. He was raised in Mandan, graduated from Mandan High School in 1959 and also from the University of North Dakota in 1964 with a Bachelors in Business Administration. After college, Irv pursued and became a successful restaurateur and entrepreneur.

Caring, Compassionate, and Loving are three perfect words to describe this wonderful man who was a loving father, husband, sibling and friend. He will be greatly missed. At his Home Going, he was reunited with his parents and his brother Don. Looking forward to seeing him again are his former wife, Judith, his daughters, Mary (Ben) Chamberlain, Texas, and grandson Zachary: Tracey (Will) Carrier, Texas, and grandchildren Hunter and Beth: JJ (Greg) Erickson, Colorado, and grandchildren Alex and Abbie; Barbra (Marlin) Weichel, Texas, and grandchildren Trevor and Trent; his son, Hoy, Texas, and grandsons Jeremy and Jesse; and daughter, Natalya (Jason) Young, Nebraska, and grandson Jackson; his sister, Mary Ann (Kelly) Carlson, North Dakota; his brothers, Bill Russell, Indiana, Stephen Russell, Washington, and Rick (Claudia) Russell, North Dakota; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Granbury Care Center for their outstanding service and friendship to Irv over the past several years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Irv with a monetary gift to the church or charity of your choosing
