C_AbbottThe Pecan Valley Republican Women will hold their monthly luncheon on Thursday, May 22 with guest speaker Cecilia Abbott, wife to Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott.  The luncheon will be held at the Brownwood Country Club from 11:30 AM to 1 PM.

Mrs. Abbott was a teacher, vice-principal and then principal at several schools across Texas. Governor Rick Perry appointed Cecilia to the State Board of Educator Certification, where she served from 2001 to 2008.

Cecilia has also focused on healthcare for seniors. From 2004 to late last year, she served as the managing director of community relations at Harden Healthcare, a network of senior adult health care facilities and services and believes strongly in giving back to the community that has given her so much.

Cecilia is a proud wife and mother. She and Greg have been married for 32 years, and they live in Austin with their daughter, Audrey.

The public is invited to attend this luncheon.  Buffet lunch at the Brownwood Country Club costs $12 per person.

To RSVP or for questions please contact Rebecca Mendoza Pate at rebecca@earlytx.com or 325-649-9300.
