Friday, April 18

* Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to the 3500 block of Hwy 279 regarding a reckless driver.  According to the report, the vehicle had been driving all over the roadway and had driven up over a curb. The complainant advised that she had seen the driver drinking from a large bottle and that the vehicle was now stopped on the side of the roadway.  The vehicle was located and the deputy observed smoke coming from the front of the vehicle. The front-end had substantial damage and the right front tire was shredded according to the deputy’s report.  The driver, identified as 39-year-old James Floyd McCullough was found to be intoxicated and was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to the report.

Monday, April 21

*8:27 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of E. Commerce regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the passenger side door of the complainant’s vehicle had been struck by a green Chevrolet Suburban which fled the scene.

*9:25 AM – Brownwood Police received a report that a previously reported runaway juvenile had returned home.

*6:25 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3600 block of Durham regarding theft of a water hose.  According to the report, an unknown subject stole the 50 foot hose, valued at $10.00 and the complainant wished to pursue criminal charges if the suspect can be identified.

*9:46 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Brewster Street regarding the report of a man with a gun.  According to the report, the responding officer spoke with the complainant and a report was filed.

Tuesday, April 22

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 61-year-old Brenda Kay Holland of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
