BFD Fire & Rescue Reports 4/22

RBFDlogoSmalleports released for the week of April 14-20, 2014 from the Brownwood Fire Department include 24 medical emergencies, 4 fire calls, and 2 motor vehicle accidents.

Reports of interest include:

Wednesday, April 16

*3:19 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 2500 block of 11th street, where they found an electrical problem of arcing wiring.

Friday, April 18

*7:04 AM – BFD responded to a single-vehicle accident on North Highway 279 involving a single vehicle. The occupant of the vehicle was transferred by ambulance.

Saturday, April 19

*4:38 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 6500 block of County Road 225.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find an unattended small fire pit.  The fire was extinguished.

*8:06 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 800 block of 6th Street.  Fire crews provided first aid.

*11:30 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call on Avenue B where firefighters arrived on scene to find a fire burning in an approved covered fire pit.

Sunday, April 20

*BFD was called to a fire in the 800 block of FM 3254.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find nothing showing.   It was determined that a pull station had been activated and the alarm was reset.
