Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 64–68 degrees; 10.88′ low. Black bass to 7 pounds are excellent on craw and shad colored crankbaits, chartreuse/white chatterbaits, and shad colored spinnerbaits in 4–10 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are excellent on minnows and jigs off lighted docks at night in 1–8 feet. Crappie are good on minnows and white and shad Li’l Fishies. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water clear; 62–66 degrees; 16.45′ low.  Black bass are good on dark soft plastic worms, lizards, and spinnerbaits. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad.  Crappie are slow.  Channel catfish are slow.  Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 54–60 degrees; 45.90′ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon seed jigs, shakyheads, Rat–L–Traps and Texas rigs.  Crappie are fair on minnows.

Lake Proctor

Water stained; 65–69 degrees; 8.65′ low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse/black soft plastic worms and lizards. Striped bass are good on live shad and white striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs in 10–15 feet. Channel and blue catfish are fair on live shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
