10th Annual Heart of Texas Quilt Show Set for April 25-26

2014HOTQuiltShowThe Brownwood Quilters’ Guild, the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce and Mills County State Bank will be sponsoring the 10th Annual Heart of Texas Quilt Show on April 25-26 at the Brownwood Coliseum.  Show hours are 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Admission is $7 for quilters, husbands and children under 12 admitted free of charge.

There will be over 120 quilts on display, door prizes, a donation quilt (a portion of the proceeds benefits the Pregnancy Care Center), demonstrations, a trunk show, an old fashion bed turning and more.  Tickets for the donation quilt are 6 for $5.00 or $1.00 each and may be purchased from any guild member.

Lectures at this year’s event include 100 Years of Redwork by the Scarlet Lady; Spinning Pinwheels by Sarah Miller-Moe; Scrap Quilts by Shaula Patton of The Feathered Star Quilt Shop; and Debbie Maddy from the Calico Carriage.
