In early April, Billy Taylor’s kindergarten class at Northwest Elementary began working on a wooden wishing well to be used to collect money for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

The full-size well is hard to miss, and will be on the Northwest Elementary campus as a place where people can donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters. “The kids had a great time building the well,” said Taylor. “The finished product is really quite large, and the kids know that it helps support other kids through Big Brothers Big Sisters.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a donor and volunteer supported mentoring network that provides children facing adversity with a professionally supported one-to-one relationship by pairing them with an older volunteer who provides support and guidance as a “Big Brother” or “Big Sister.”

Additional photos from the construction of the well can be seen at www.brownwoodisd.org/nwebbbswell.
