Law Enforcement Blotter 4/10

Wednesday, April 9

*1:25 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding identification theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his ex-wife had used his identifying information to get a loan at EZ Loan and now that loan is in default.  The complainant is now receiving phone calls from a collection agency and would like to pursue criminal charges, the report states.

*6:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, a computer, valued at $898.00 had been stolen.  A store employee had located an empty HP Envy computer box in the bedding department of the store, the report states.

*9:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on 8th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, dispatch advised the officer that the caller’s wife had a knife to his throat.  An investigation was conducted and led to the arrest of 41-year-old Teresa Williams of Brownwood for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 63-year-old Maria Magdalena Abascal of Santa Anna on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated.

*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Monica Theodora Castaneda of Brownwood on warrants related to failure to identify and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Ralph Steven Herron of Kyle on a surety withdrawal/motion to adjudicate/fraud.

Thursday, April 10

*3:08 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Magnolia Street regarding a one-vehicle accident.  According to the report, the driver of the vehicle could not be located at the time of the report.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
