Ranger College Rodeo will be coming to the Earl Q. Wilson rodeo arena in Brownwood this weekend where the best college students from both 2-year and 4-year universities will compete. Approximately 430 students from 15 schools will participate in this National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association event such as Ranger College, Texas Tech, Tarleton State University, Eastern New Mexico University, and West Texas A&M, to name just a few that will participate this weekend.
Each college/university sends their best students who are competing to qualify for the college finals which will be held at Casper, Wyoming this June.
The rodeo will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 7:00 PM with the finals of the top ten contestants in each event being held on Saturday night. General admission tickets will be sold at the gate: Adults are $8, children ages 5-12 are $5, and children under 5 are $3.

- Saddle Bronc Riding
- Goat Tying
- Team Roping
- Barrel Racing
- Bull Riding
Ranger College began their rodeo program in the 1970s in Ranger, Texas and had discontinued it until 2005 when it was revived, and the college rodeo has been held annually since that time. This is the second year the Ranger College Rodeo has been held in Brownwood.
